Celebrating Twenty Years

Through summer 2016, we're taking a chronological look back at each of our major original works of performance.  On our about the 20th of each month, we present something from the piece; lead some workshopping of principles discovered in the making of the work; and engage in a shared conversation about the piece and the evening.  Admission is free, and we pass a hat to help pay for the space and the upcoming events in the series.  We're very excited to celebrate this long and amazing road with you — our supporters and friends — so come ready to watch, move and talk!

The series kicked off in January 2015 with Rage Within/Without at The Dryades Theatre.

In February, it was our very first ensemble piece, How To Be a Man in the 21st Century.

After a couple of months off, we remembered The End and Back Again, My Friend in May.

In August, we re-visited Lower 9 Stories in its original location, on the levee where the Mississippi River meets the Industrial Canal.

In September, The Graduates performed at the Contemporary Arts Center.

In October, we got reacquainted with Flora and Piroska Gellert, better known as Nita & Zita!

In November we re-visited Chekhov's Wild Ride twice, including a lovely Chekhov mash-up with Goat in the Road Productions and Moscow Nights.

In December, we'll celebrate the holiday season with 20-for-20, a gala fundraiser at Rebellion Bar and Urban Kitchen, 748 Camp Street, from 7-10pm.  The evening will be co-hosted by Mama Nola, who first appeared in New Orleans Suite and later starred in UPROOTED: The Katrina Project.
